BIO Announces Breakout Sessions for 2013 Pacific Rim Summit in San Diego

The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) today announced breakout sessions for the <a href="http://www.bio.org/events/conferences/breakout-program-0"><u>2013 Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy</u></a>.&nbsp; Summit will highlight progress in commercializing biofuels, renewable chemicals. The eighth annual Pacific Rim Summit will be co-organized by BIOCOM and held in San Diego, December 8-11 at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter.</p>

Washington, D.C. (Sept. 23, 2013) –The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) today announced breakout sessions for the 2013 Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy. The eighth annual Pacific Rim Summit will be co-organized by BIOCOM and held in San Diego, December 8-11 at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter.

“San Diego is home to a vibrant biotechnology community that stands at the forefront in commercializing innovative applications for biofuels and renewable chemicals,” Brent Erickson, Executive Vice President of BIO’s Industrial & Environmental Section said. “This year’s Pacific Rim Summit will feature sessions with companies that are making rapid progress toward large-scale production of biofuels and renewable chemicals. And it will set the stage for the BIO International Convention, the global event for biotechnology, to be held in San Diego in 2014.”
