Opportunities and Challenges in a Changing Climate; the Race to Innovate in Agriculture

Agriculture is facing unprecedented challenges to meet the demand of a growing population while reducing environmental impacts and adapting to a changing climate. At the same time, agriculture offers exciting opportunities to adapt to and mitigate climate change. Regulatory and supply-chain challenges have limited innovations in crop protection and nutrition products. However, there are a few innovators in the field who have spent years working to solve these challenges. These innovators are shaping the future through the development of technology that can replace traditional products while also meeting the needs of regenerative agriculture to yield more productive, profitable, and sustainable results. This panel will explore the breadth of challenges that agriculture is facing due to climate change and demonstrate how biotechnology is helping to address these threats. We will get a wholistic  picture of the problem and the solution by hearing the perspectives of technology developers, a large landowner, and an environmental nonprofit.
