Charlotte Smith

Charlotte Smith serves as the senior vice president of public affairs and is a member of the executive team at Travere Therapeutics. She has twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry as a senior corporate affairs executive focused on internal and external communications, policy and patient advocacy. Throughout her career, she has worked in the UK, Germany and the US, where she currently resides with her husband, Derek, and son, Jackson, in Long Island, New York.

Ms. Smith joined Travere Therapeutics from Pfizer where she most recently led the company’s global network of almost 100 country communicators. Throughout her twelve years at Pfizer, Ms. Smith held roles of increasing levels of responsibility, including leading Pfizer’s corporate affairs function for Rare Disease, as well as teams focused on the Oncology, Inflammation and Immunology, and Hospital and Vaccines businesses. Earlier in her career, Ms. Smith worked for several leading public relations agencies both in the UK, and the US. Charlotte was born and raised in the UK where she graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in public relations and German.
