Caroline Pothet is current head of advanced therapies (ad interim) at the European Medicines Agency since October 2022; Caroline has been working at the EMA since September 2020 initially as a Senior Regulatory Specialist within the office of Regulatory affairs, providing regulatory, scientific and procedural advice to EMA staff, Scientific Committees (including the Committee on Advanced Therapies) and external stakeholders during the development, evaluation and surveillance of oncology medicinal products and Advanced Therapies. Prior to joining the Agency, Caroline worked for more than 20 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry holding various positions in Drug Development in Oncology & Immuno-inflammation & Regulatory Affairs. Caroline has a Doctorate in Pharmacy and Master in Drug Development and International Regulatory Affairs.
