Alexis Clark is a biomedical scientist, health equity champion, and PhD Candidate at Morehouse School of Medicine who values dedication, service, and excellence. Alexis learned the value of dedication at an early age growing up in Woodbridge, VA. Alexis’s commitment to hard work and community service inspired her to pursue biomedical research with the aim to develop targeted therapies and personalized medicine for chronic diseases.
Through her academic career, she has held leadership positions, served as a mentor, collaborated with national laboratories, and was selected to be a 2022 Beacon of Hope Fellow at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). She uses her expertise and background to inspire the next generation of leaders and scientists.
