Dr. Klaus Trier is MD from University of Copenhagen 1983, qualified as eye specialist in 1990, and was chief eye surgeon at Frederiksberg Hospital 1993-97. In 1993 he founded Trier Research Laboratories. Dr. Trier is author of scientific articles and a textbook chapter about connective tissue, the sclera, and myopia, and has been invited as speaker by American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Association for Ocular Pharmacology & Therapeutics, International Myopia Conference, World Health Organisation /Brien Holden Vision Institute. Dr. Trier is a member of the interventions committee of the International Myopia Institute. He recently published the most widely read article in the British Journal of Ophthalmology sharing his groundbreaking results for decades of research on the use of 7-Methyl-Xanthine in lowering paediatric myopia.
