Susan Wise

Susan Wise serves as the Chief Privacy Officer and Head of Privacy and Data Protection for Biogen. In her role, she leads a global team charged with ensuring employees handle data responsibly as part of their business activities, in its use, handling and storage. Wise has been with Biogen since 2014. In addition to establishing the Privacy Office in 2015, she has also helped Biogen develop other risk management functions, including vendor management and IT risk.
Wise joined Biogen with deep experience in operations and technology, having worked across a number of industries, including retail and technology. She holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, as well as the IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), DRI Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), and ISACA Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certifications. In 2022 she was recognized by Healthcare Technology Report as a Top Woman Leader in Biotech.
