Shira Orr, founder, and CEO has over 20 years of experience in material science and immunology. I started my professional career in the technological intelligence unit in the IDF and from there went on to learning life science and completed a Ph.D. in biotechnology engineering with an emphasis on polymers and immunology. My main project was to manipulate alginate biomatrix to enable allogeneic transplantation without depressing the immune system. My project was registered as an IP in Israel.
I completed my training with a postdoc at Harvard Medical School with emphasis on materials and cancer immunotherapy. My work in immunotherapy for pancreatic cancer was the foundation of a clinical trial taking place at BIDMC in Boston.
Following completion of my postdoc, I joined a Karyopharm Therapeutics as principal scientist and formed the scientific and medical publications group and managed it. I handle all the preclinical regulatory writing for the company.
On May 2022 I founded Delym
