Ke Zhang

Dr. Ke Zhang is formally trained in Chemistry with a PhD in 2009. In 2012, Dr. Zhang joined Northeastern University as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and was promoted to Associate in 2017 and to Full in 2022. Dr. Zhang is devoting his career to facilitating the marriage of synthetic polymers and nucleic acids. His prized inventions include several forms of DNA-polymer amphiphiles, conjugates, and nanoparticles, which are being geared towards therapeutics development. Dr. Zhang has founded pacDNA Therapeutics in 2022 to develop several novel therapeutics based upon his proprietary Brushield™ oligonucleotide enhancer technology. Dr. Zhang is recognized as a Pioneering Investigator by Polymer Chemistry (2021), Emerging Investigator by Journal of Materials Chemistry B (2020), ACS PMSE Young Investigator (2018), Nano Research Young Innovator (2017), ACS PRF Doctoral New Investigator (2014), and by an NSF CAREER award (2014).
