Laura Koivusalo

Dr. Koivusalo graduated as PhD with distinction in 2020, and was awarded as the best thesis of the year in Tampere University, Finland. She has won numerous pitching competitions (BioFinland 2019, Falling Walls Lab 2019, HealthBIO 2020, BioFIT 2020, Nordic Investment Forum 2021, EIT Health Catapult) and was selected among the Ten Outstanding Young Person of the World 2022 by Junior Chamber International. As leader and co-founder of StemSight, she has lead investor and stakeholder negotiations, leading to a successful closing of seed funding round in 2021 and building strategic partnerships with key players in the industry. Now, she is a sought-after keynote speaker for inspiring other scientist and female-founders to realize their potential in biotech leadership.
