Annemiek Verkamman is managing director of HollandBIO, the Dutch biotechnology industry association. HollandBIO unites and supports more than 270 companies and is the main anchor of the Dutch biotech sector.
Prior to working for industry associations, Annemiek was program director of the Life Sciences & Health (LSH) innovation program. She was accountable for the international representation of the Netherlands and projects with a focus on human capital, facilities for SMEs and sector intelligence. Annemiek began her career as product developer of diagnostic products. She has also worked as advisor in the field of innovation and life sciences for the Dutch Government.
Annemiek holds a master in Chemistry from Leiden University and a master in Business Economics.
