Valerio Soldani is the Head of the Investment Attraction Dept. at the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Rome; formerly Head of the Investment and Startup division in ITA New York, with diverse and extensive experiences in trade promotion, business and marketing, and startups. Valerio's team is in charge of the Foreign Direct Investment Attraction activities, promoting Italy as a top investment destination for international companies and global players willing to expand their business in a resilient, innovative, and enterprise-friendly environment in Italy.
With a network of 23 FDI desks, units, and analysts, 5 offices in the US, 78 offices in the world, ITA is the official single stop shop for companies willing to Invest in Italy, and closely works with the rest of the Invest in Italy team (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, the Committee for the Attraction of foreign investments, and Invitalia), with the aim to provide a focused assistance all across the investment process.
ITA provides guidance to foreign companies, navigating the framework of opportunities, incentives, compliance, regional manufacturing ecosystems, location and talent scouting and all the other topics involved in accessing the EU and the Italian market with a direct investment.
