Masatoshi Hazama, PhD

Masatoshi Hazama is Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Translational Research at SymBio Pharmaceuticals where he leads scientific matters, collaborations with external parties and preclinical activities for the company. He brings over 30 years of drug discovery through development experience and expertise of IP generation to the team. He was most recently at Takeda, where he led a research unit based on drug repositioning approaches and a cross-functional business unit of therapeutic area. He holds a Ph.D. from Hiroshima University.
