Understanding Business Development Opportunities in the Asia-Pacific

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (EDT), Monday, June 5, 2023 ・ Session Room 205ABC
Asia-Pacific populations share many concerns with the rest of the world, from aging populations to chronic disease. By 2050, more than a quarter – or 1.3 billion – of the population in Asia Pacific will be over 60 years old, and China and India now have the largest number of diabetes patients in the world. However, the region consists of many different markets with very diverse sets of demographics, regulatory environments, and disease profiles. Governments are working to spur biotech innovation and meet patient needs, with a similarly diverse set of solutions. Panelists will discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by these trends and policy proposals.
