Dr. Seung Bum Park is the founding CEO of SPARK Biopharma and is responsible for the overall scientific and business direction of the company. Under his leadership, the drug discovery programs at SPARK Biopharma aim to deliver highly competitive immuno-oncology drugs by selectively modulating the tumor microenvironment.
Dr. Park received his doctorate in chemistry from Texas A&M University, USA. From 2001 to 2003, he served as an HHMI postdoctoral research associate under the guidance of Prof. Stuart L. Schreiber at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Harvard University, where he was trained in chemical biology, drug discovery, and molecular diversity.
Dr. Park is currently a professor and director of the CRI Center for Chemical Proteomics in the Chemistry Department at Seoul National University, working on the development of novel therapeutic agents with new modes of action.
