Melanie Whittington

PRINCIPAL AND FOUNDER; SENIOR FELLOW, CENTER FOR THE EVALUATION OF VALUE AND RISK IN HEALTH, VALUSPHERE; TUFTS MEDICAL CENTER
Dr. Melanie Whittington is a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health at Tufts Medical Center and the Principal and Founder of Valusphere. She has a decade of experience in health economics and outcomes research. Most recently, she was the Director of Health Economics at the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER) where she led the cost-effectiveness analyses and budget impact analyses within ICER reviews. Prior to joining ICER, she was an Assistant Professor in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus with a joint appointment with the Veteran’s Health Administration as an investigator within the VA’s Center for Veteran-Centered and Value-Driven Care. She is an active member in the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and was this year's recipient of the Bernie J. O’Brien New Investigator Award.
