Christina Hochul

SENIOR DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC ALLIANCE DEVELOPMENT, ALEXION PHARMACEUTICALS, INC
Christina Hochul is a Senior Director, Head of Strategic Alliance Development at Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease. In this capacity, Christina leads Alexion’s engagement with external stakeholders to develop support for Alexion’s policy initiatives.

Prior to joining Alexion, Christina was a Director of Federal Policy at Biogen. Christina analyzed proposed regulations and guidance from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the White House, and other federal agencies to advise Biogen’s business units on regulatory impacts and responses. Christina also launched Biogen’s Strategic Alliance Department and led Biogen’s partnerships with external stakeholders.

Christina was previously the Director of Public Policy at the McManus Group, where she represented pharmaceutical companies, professional medical societies, and medical device manufacturers before Congress and the Executive Branch. Christina also served as Policy Counsel at the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), and she was a judicial clerk at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims Office of Special Masters, where she focused on vaccine litigation. Christina is a registered patent attorney and licensed to practice in Maryland and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Christina holds a juris doctor from University of Dayton School of Law and a Master of

Laws in Intellectual Property from George Washington University Law School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University. Christina serves as the Co-Chair of BIO’s Alliance Development Committee, on Patient Access Initiative Steering Committee of the American Kidney Fund and on the Business Council of FasterCures at the Milken Institute.
