Dr. Steve Bossone, joined Alnylam 2010 from Shire HGT with over 15 years of experience in the biotech industry. As a Senior Patent Attorney at Shire he provided licensing, acquisition and litigation support as well as strategic input into the life cycle management of several marketed products. Steve began his career at Millennium Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist in the oncology group and then at Millennium Biotherapeutics where he headed the transcript profiling group to support drug discovery initiatives. He transitioned to the Intellectual Property field with positions of increasing authority at Millennium, ToleRx, Serono and Shire. He received his PhD in Molecular Pathology from the lab of Dr. Kenneth Marcu at SUNY Stony Brook (NY) and subsequently worked as a Research Fellow in Medicine in the lab of Dr. Vikas Sukhatme at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Hospital. Steve received his JD from Suffolk University School of Law.

John Delacourt is Deputy General Counsel – VP, Health, Regulatory, and Commercial Operations at Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). BIO is the world’s largest trade association representing biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations across the United States and in more than 30 other nations. Anita Spieth, co-chair of Choate’s IP Litigation Group, has more than 10 years of experience representing life sciences and technology companies in high stakes patent infringement, trade secrets, and other complex IP litigation. She provides an effective and user-friendly case management approach and counsels clients on litigation strategy to achieve their goals. She also represents clients in connection with inter partes review proceedings before the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board, as well as in copyright issues (particularly related to software and artificial intelligence) and trade secret disputes.
