Spurring Life Sciences Innovation Across The Globe: A High-Level Discussion

4:00 PM - 5:15 PM (EDT), Tuesday, June 6, 2023 ・ Session Room 205ABC
With every passing year, the life sciences industry leads new advancements and innovation with the potential to not only address unmet needs of patients, but also produce healthy economies as well as growth drivers. The biopharmaceutical sector, from R&D to supply chain, and from manufacturing to commercialization, is also becoming more global, reaching new corners of the world. In response, governments across the world are focusing more intently on the development of the life sciences to ensure future preparedness for global health challenges as well as to deliver public health solutions to underserved groups, such as women and girls, that have been disproportionally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. While governments are taking different approaches to strengthening the healthcare sector, it has become clear to all that bolstering global collaboration between public and private stakeholders is critical. In this session, high-level government officials will discuss their strategies to spur growth in the life sciences.
