Sarah Swan

REGIONAL SENIOR DIRECTOR, LEAD POLICY & GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS, BRISTOL MYERS SQUIBB
Sarah Swan is the Senior Director of State Government Affairs for Bristol Myers Squibb in the Western region. Over the last eight years, Sarah has covered many of the states in the Western half of the country and as Baltimore native, she enjoys learning about the history of the Western states. Sarah previously worked for the City and County of Denver where she served as the Legislative Liaison for Denver Human Services.  In that role, she advocated for over a dozen complex human services programs and a $350 million dollar budget. She began her legal career as the Staff Attorney and Legislative Liaison at the Colorado State Office of the Child’s Representative. Sarah received her B.A. in English from the University of Vermont in 1996 and attended the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver, graduating in 2004.  Prior to attending law school, she was the Senior Paralegal in the Anti-Piracy Unit for the Recording Industry Association of America. Outside of work life, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, horse, and husband. She resides in Boulder, Colorado.
