“Dr. Larry Walker has been a tireless advocate for STEM education and industrial biotech innovation throughout his career that spans more than three decades,” added Brent Erickson, executive vice president of BIO’s Industrial & Environmental Section. “The BIO Leadership and Legacy Award was created to honor an individual who has dedicated a significant portion of their career to growing the biobased economy. The combination of his careers in teaching, researching and covering the industrial biotechnology field makes him the perfect recipient for the Leadership and Legacy Award.”
