Building a Holistic Approach to Bridge the Access Gap in the Asia-Pacific

1:45 PM - 2:45 PM (EDT), Tuesday, June 6, 2023 ・ Session Room 209
The Asia-Pacific region outside of Greater China now holds around a quarter of all the world’s new cancer diagnoses, but a complex matrix of clinical, regulatory, and commercial challenges means few patients are able to access affordable, innovative oncology therapies. For emerging biotechs hoping to navigate this diverse and heterogenous region, a holistic strategy is needed to bridge gaps in access. This multisectorial panel discussion will highlight the challenges in expanding access to treatment across a region with diverse clinical, regulatory, and commercial dynamics with a focus on building clinical trial and commercial capacity and promoting increased regulatory harmonization. The panel will define and illuminate the various levers to access across the APAC region and highlight emerging methodologies to improve access for patients in need.
