Though the life science industry has made strides in increasing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), there is still much to be done. Forward-thinking companies have found that emphasizing an inclusive and supportive workforce not only creates a vibrant company culture but also impacts business performance, bringing a range of perspectives and voices to drive creativity, product development and business strategies. This panel brings together representatives of companies who have made DEI a priority in their businesses and broadly into their communities. Panelists will discuss their approaches to ”operationalizing” DEI–going beyond making DEI part of company culture, and extending into actionable tactics and quantifiable measures for how it adds value to the company. Panelists will highlight examples of successful DEI programs and initiatives they have implemented in their companies, and they will also share challenges and obstacles they have encountered and how to overcome them.
