Max Bayer is a staff reporter at Fierce Biotech covering all angles of the industry with a focus on restructuring and shifting R&D efforts. He's broken stories on some of the largest pharmaceutical companies and nailed down pipeline plans for budding biotechs. Prior to joining Fierce, Max covered the twists and turns of the COVID-19 pandemic for CBS News, reporting on federal health policy and the national vaccination effort.
