Liao Shaun graduated from National Tsing Hua University with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering in 2018. His research results during college have been published in international journals such as ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces and Nanoscale, and received numerous academic and innovation awards, including the SYIS 1st place Award from TERMIS-Americas, the Materials Innovation Award from Taiwan Materials Research Society and ITRI, and being selected by TSMC Dreamer Program.
One year after graduation, Liao took a break from his master's program at the Department of Materials Science of National Tsing Hua University and successively founded two healthcare material companies.
