New Resources to Accelerate Translational Research

A “valley of death” in funding availability continues to endure between the academic researcher and commercial development to get those ideas ready to begin clinical trials.  In addition to traditional NIH SBIR grants, recent growth in the variety of providers of support to translational researchers inspired BIO to explore the current landscape of options to make crossing that “valley” easier.  This panel will feature investors, academics, and entrepreneurs pursuing these new approaches that resolve critical bottlenecks as they work to lower initial project risks and accelerate progress through proof-of-concept.
