Collaboration maximizes BIO members’ access to Avantor’s market-leading portfolio of products, materials, and services to accelerate scientific innovation.
WASHINGTON, D.C., September 17, 2025 - The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) today announced it has extended its agreement with Avantor, a leading life sciences tools company and global provider of mission-critical products and services to the life sciences and technology industries, for an additional five years. The extension builds on more than two decades of collaboration, delivering exceptional value to members of BIO and state and regional biotechnology associations through exclusive cost-saving programs and enhanced access to innovative solutions.
Through this agreement, BIO members gain access to contracted pricing and discounts on millions of products from Avantor’s robust supplier network, as well as preferred shipping terms, special service savings, dedicated customer service support, and growth and eCommerce rebates. The agreement is part of BIO’s ongoing commitment to helping its members advance science and enact meaningful change.
“BIO is committed to advancing cures, treatments, and innovations, and a critical way we do that is by removing operational hurdles for our members,” said John F. Crowley, President and CEO of BIO. “Extending our agreement with Avantor ensures that our member companies, regardless of size, can access the tools, supplies, and support they need to make scientific breakthroughs and improve the lives of people and patients around the world.”
Avantor’s offerings include a comprehensive portfolio of laboratory consumables, equipment and instruments, productivity-enhancing technology and global manufacturing and distribution capabilities that support every step of the scientific journey. The collaboration with BIO allows both emerging and established biotech organizations to access Avantor’s full portfolio of offerings at competitive rates.
“We are honored to extend our agreement with BIO and look forward to continuing our work with the over 10,000 companies that have access to our portfolio through this partnership,” said Corey Walker, President of Laboratory Solutions at Avantor. “Avantor understands the critical role that efficient, reliable access to products, materials and services plays in advancing scientific innovation, especially in the biotech industry, where breakthroughs in medicine, agriculture, and sustainability are making the impossible, possible.”
