PDI's world-class teaching, training, analytical development, and early-phase manufacturing facility is a place where researchers, students, and private partners come together to develop new pharmaceutics and enhance the economic development of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The PDI provides formulation/process development and early-phase manufacturing of solid oral dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, powders, etc.). Our equipment and capabilities help our client firms achieve product quality expectations and meet clinical development milestones with adequate supplies for development and stability studies.

The PDI provides analytical development services for all dosage forms, which may include formulations developed in-house or samples provided by partner firms, enabling them to rapidly and cost-effectively achieve stable formulations that can be readily transferred to a GMP contract manufacturer.

The PDI offers analytical method development/qualification laboratory services to enable phase-appropriate methodology in support of our client’s drug development program. Our method development scientists have >10 years of experience working with both small molecules and biologics in a variety of dosage forms including solids, patches, gels, ointments, liquids, and inhaled products. The PDI laboratories are equipped with sophisticated analytical instrumentation including chromatography, dissolution, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy.

We have a range of core courses that can be delivered off-the-shelf or customized to your needs. We can also work with you to develop completely custom courses which are highly focused on your needs and processes. All courses are taught by experts with extensive industry experience.
