The Healthcare System of the Future: Emerging Technologies that Enable Drug Development and Patient Treatment

2:15 PM - 3:15 PM (EDT), Monday, June 5, 2023 ・ Session Room 208
Novel enabling technologies (ET) and therapies emerge at an ever-increasing speed across multiple domains related to drug development. These innovations are arising from academic and public researchers, classical pharmaceutical development companies, and increasingly solution providers, device developers and a range of consortia. These diverse stakeholders are increasingly approaching authorities for interactions and advice how to develop and successfully market them.
This session will provide an overview of recent and upcoming enabling technologies (ET) relevant to drug development. Examples provided will demonstrate opportunities on how to maximise the benefit of ET for health care solutions.
The panel discussion will discuss how to best advance and utilise ET for drug development facilitated by research into scientific principles and regulatory practices involving regulators, pharmaceutical companies, technology developers, non-commercial and academic developers.
