Reference Medicine was founded to solve the problem of oncology diagnostic developers struggling to access the specimens they need reliably, affordably, and without the hassle experienced with typical CROs and biobanks.

We work with a variety of collection sites worldwide to standardize and build a just-in-time bank of high-quality specimens that are specifically formatted to meet all stages and types of oncology assay development - from early development through to test maintenance, and across slide, tissue, liquid biopsy, and image-based cancer detection.

Our unique approach translates each donation into numerous specimens across our product line, including matched tissue and fluid, individual or matched sets of tissue blocks, and image assets with genomic and/or proteomic characterization data - enabling one individual donation to reach up to 10 different assay development teams.

By reducing the numerous barriers to accessing these critical biospecimens, we help patients give meaning to their disease and enable teams at the forefront of cancer research to build the next life-saving diagnostic.
