BETC
The Biomanufacturing Education and Training Center (BETC) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute provides customized training courses to meet your real-world training needs. The first of its kind in New England, our 10,000-square-foot, pilot-scale biomanufacturing facility located in the heart of Massachusetts, is where theory is put into practice and hands-on training fosters growth and (enables)creates bold innovators in industry.

Our laboratory space features individual rooms—including small-scale labs for upstream and downstream processing and a 200L pilot–scale lab—where you’ll have hours of hands-on training on bioprocessing equipment in a simulated cGMP environment. The BETC lab space mirrors a real-world bioprocessing environment where you can explore new processes, train on state-of-the-art equipment, take risks in a safe environment, try what-ifs, and fully master bioprocessing techniques in an environment that fosters your development.

Ranging from one-day trainings to in-depth, weeklong programs, the BETC provides a rich environment to (-where you’ll) expand your knowledge of bioprocessing and hone your hands-on techniques. Our goal: a skilled, confident workforce ready to be productive from day one.
