As the R1 land-grant university in South Carolina, the College of Science (SCIENCE) elevates Clemson’s local relevance and global impact through excellence in scientific discovery integrated with learning and engagement. SCIENCE harnesses the connections across the Life, Physical, and Mathematical Sciences with four departments, one school, five centers, and one institute. Life Sciences include the Department of Biological Sciences and the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry. Physical Sciences include the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Physics and Astronomy. SCIENCE offers 30 undergraduate and graduate degrees with academic programs designed to develop the next generation of 21st-century leading scientists.
