Chuncheon Bioindustry Foundation is an esteemed institution situated in Chuncheon City, which holds the distinction of being designated as the premier pilot city for fostering the bio industry and extending comprehensive support to bio companies.

The foundation's inception in January 2003 was a deliberate move to systematically bolster and advance the bio industry, a burgeoning knowledge industry for Chuncheon City and Gangwon-do. Its unwavering efforts are geared towards establishing an unparalleled bio hub in Korea.

Spread across 36,000㎡, Chuncheon Bioindustry Foundation houses 6 buildings and over 120 company incubation rooms, along with 400 types of research and production equipment. It boasts GMP facilities that are KFDA-certified for health functional foods, EU-GMP-compliant for biosimilar protein therapeutics, and has the honor of being the first in Korea to feature bio chip GMP facilities, all designed to foster the growth of bio companies. We also plan to obtain GMP certification for our IVD manufacturing facility by 2024.

Our vision is to establish a world-class research base for new antibody drugs and clinical tests that conform to international standards. We are pursuing this objective through our collaboration with the Battelle Institute, US, and the Scripps Korea Antibody Institute (SKAI) situated in our Bio-town.
