Dana M. Schmidt

Dana Schmidt is a Vice President, serving on the leadership team of the Life Sciences Industry Practice at Chubb and as the Life Sciences Territory Underwriting Manager of Chubb’s Pacific regions. Since 1998, Chubb has been the endorsed BIO Business Solutions® property and casualty insurer, providing cost-effective risk management and insurance protection tailored to the unique needs of Life Sciences companies. Chubb’s products include property and casualty, product liability, clinical trial liability, errors and omissions liability, professional liability, and cyber insurance. Dana has 20 years of underwriting experience working with the evolving risks facing life sciences companies in various stages of development – from early R&D, into clinical trials, through commercial approval, including the global implications at each stage. Dana has worked with these insureds in partnership with Chubb’s Risk Engineering services to identify their unique property and liability exposures, evaluate the loss potential, and craft insurance and risk management solutions to help the insured minimize these risks. Dana began her career with Chubb Life Sciences in 2002 in Philadelphia. Dana has a degree in Biotechnology from James Madison University.
