PrimAry Purpose

The Director of Organization Programs will develop and implement People programs in support of BIO’s strategic initiatives. This individual will evaluate and execute on organizational development needs in collaboration with the People office and across the organization. This includes the evaluation, planning and execution of enterprise-wide initiatives focused on strengthening BIO’s culture, talent, and organization overall in alignment with strategy and growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and support People Office agenda CPO initiatives; act as voice of People team in enterprise-wide meetings and programs
  • Contribute to assessment and development of strategy tied to People practices and processes
  • Streamline People office strategic initiatives, communicate critical objectives, and deliver sustainable results in organizational development
  • Build measurement plan and dashboard for People programs tied to BIO strategy and goals
  • Manage and mentor organizational development and program function team members within People office includes: culture and talent
  • Provide program development and project management expertise to successfully plan and execute programmatic elements of the People strategy with support of vendors; this may include but is not limited to:
    • Meet organizational needs around workforce planning and talent
    • Define and deliver on training and development needs for leadership
    • Collaborate across departments to create enterprise-wide programs to support professional development
    • Oversee culture initiatives (e.g., Organization Health Index culture coalition) to foster and sustain an organizational culture where staff are empowered to achieve their best work
    • Assess, advise, and promote BIO’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts

Required Background and skills

  • 5+ years of related professional services experience
    (e.g., training and development, talent management, workforce planning)
  • PMI Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organization Development, Learning and Development, or related field
  • Experience delivering and ensuring execution of successful organization development and transformation programs
  • Ability to evaluate, design, and implement program options and alternatives; measure and sustain
  • Ability to facilitate alignment across and within projects and programs
  • Expertise in managing complex projects with proactive planning and follow-through
  • Proven ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment, collaborate effectively, and take direction
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Consulting experience preferred
