Sumayah Jamal, MD-PhD, is Co-founder, President and Chief Scientific Officer of ENB Therapeutics, a company developing therapeutics to overcome drug resistance to immune-based therapies. She is a practicing Dermatologist with a PhD in biochemistry and a research career spanning over 30 years. She is a co-inventor on the first patents filed covering the endothelin B receptor as a therapeutic target for cancer. She began studying the role of the receptor in cancer progression when she was a postdoctoral fellow in 1997 and continued the project as a principal investigator at NYU School of Medicine. These studies serve as the foundation for the drug development programs at ENB Therapeutics which is an NYU School of Medicine spin out company that she founded in 2015.

Dr. Jamal holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Johns Hopkins University and an MD-PhD from NYU School of Medicine.
